Sorry Betty but snaking from the toilet involves pulling it up and sending a snake down the closet bend. This has to come down from a roof vent. This is a hassle as you'll have to rent a power snake and climb up on the roof.

Maybe Betty can get to her clog from a lower basement cleanout?
Dave, Not everybody has basements, in my area all our buildings are on slabs. If this were the case the entire house would be clogged up and she would have water coming up from the floor drain. I don't think this is a blockage in the main. I think it's a branch blockage. Regards, TomQuote:
