I currently have a white/rogers thermostat and want to change to a hunter programmable thermostat. I don't understand the wiring. I had already taken my old thermostat off and didn't look at the wiring and don't know how the wiring was hooked up.

What type of system do you have?
What color wires do you have coming out of the wall?

What terminals are on the new thermostat?
Red to the R terminal
Green to the G terminal
White to the W terminal
Yellow to the y terminal
You may need to install a jumper wire between RH and Rc if it doesn't already have one, also don't worry about the blue wire
