    99 civic troubling starting
I have a 99 civic (75k miles) and when I'm out of town the car sits for about a week or sometimes 2 weeks at a time. I live in San Diego. This is the second time that it has happened but when I try to start the car it turns over but it doesn't start. After 3 or 4 tries the car finally starts. Can anybody let me know if this is normal? What causes this and is there any simple solutions?

    Thanks.

If it is a bigger problem in cooler, damper weather, it could be moisture in the ignition system. It could be drive off by the heat of the short is causes. If the fuel pump is outside the gas tank, it could be losing it prime. Check its connections.
