    Check Returned NSF
Hello, I am in the state of MO, back in Dec. of 2006 I paid a power bill from some out of state friends (they were going to have their power shut off), with the understanding the amount $160 would be paid in full in 1 months time, they did send me half the payment $80, and it took 5 months to finally get them to pay the other half $80, well that check came back with NSF, I called the bank, no funds in that account, I do plan to contact the prosecuting attorney in my county about this, as I have heard its illegal to write bad checks, I cannot contact the person/person's who wrote this check as they blocked me from their emails and have moved to another state in Idaho, I really would like to contact them first, as I know if this proceeds they will end up with attorney fees etc... but how can I contact them, I know if I write to their old address it will either be returned or they will get it and tear it up as they are avoiding me, Is there any way without cost I can locate these people or at least send an email that will not be blocked, or should I just proceed with the attorney. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Vicki

Lots of ways, make a new email address and send an email, they probably blocked your email address alone, not all email.

Go to 411.com and look them up, they might have forwarded their mail to the new address so send a registered letter, it might get re-forwarded to the new correct mailing address.

    Hello guns:

Send an emply envelope to their last known address. Put your return address on the envelope with the notation "address correction requested. You'll get something from the post office with their correct address.

Why? They are hiding from you, they know the check was bad and are hiding from you to cheat you? So why do you care what happens to them, after you helped them they have lied, and cheated. They should be punished for their deeds.
