Erm siple answer - buy a new one, lol buy if you don't wish to, then you need to turn off the water, drain the tank and wait for it all to dry in there - use a bucket of water to flush the loo in the meantime. And then you need a strong waterproof sealent and sealt all the way up and down the line. A cheap option, but I cannot guarantee it will work is superglue.

Hope this helps and good luck

Do yourself a big favor, splurge a little and purchase a new one.

What ever caused the hairline crack is still there and even if you stop the leak with a sealant the pressure on the tank remains and it could become a big crack while you were gone and flood the house. Pay a little now and save a lot later.
