    Fitting molding between rooms
    Hi guys
I just installed pergo flooring in my living room. After leveling the floors it looks great, but the floors between the rooms don't match up just right. The kitchen floor is about 1/4 inch higher on one side of the doorway than the other. What is the best type of molding to use, the 4 in 1 from pergo or just a wood one from the lumber yard? How do I make it fit right all the way across the door opening?

    Thanks

    Mike

You don't want to use molding for this application, it won't hold up. Go back to where you bought the Pergo and ask for a transition strip. It is made for your situation. Choose carefully since some strips are for pergo to carpet and others Pergo to tile. Find the one that has a 1/4" difference between the two bottom surfaces. These guys are not cheap, expect to pay about #12 for a doorway strip.
