Hi,

I have developed two marks on my skin above the ankles, on both legs on the outer side. There is one on each leg and they appear darkish brown/black in colour. It looks like some sort of pigmentation but I don't know as to how it exactly happened or what caused it. The surprising thing is that it is on the outside of each leg and on both legs.
I would be thankful if anyone could enlighten me on as to what it is.

The discoloration could be from wearing boots, sneakers or shoes. They can leave bruise marks on your feet or ankles. If you are concerned about this, have a dermatologist examine your ankles for a proper diagnosis and treatment.

If it is a scar, try Vitamin E or Mederma.
