    Water flooding!
I woke up to water dripping from my dining room ceiling and light fixtures. There were cracks in the paint in a few different spots where it was dripping. The upstairs bathroom (which is directly above) toilet had apparently overflowed continuously throughout the night. I turned off the water to the toilet but I'm guessing that all the water soaked up in between floors is what's now causing the ceiling to keep leaking. Any ideas as to where or whom I turn to? Please help!!

You won't like this but it needs to be done. Cut open the ceiling and direct a fan into the opening for several days. You have to dry this out completely to avoid mold inside the floor/ceiling cavity. Your ceiling is probably saturated and can drip for many hours.

Just wondering what you ended up doing. We have the same problem right now. I came home to water flooding my kitchen floor from the bathroom above. The water on the kitchen floor leaked into the ceiling of the basement. I don't even know where to begin.

    Hope your problem got fixed!
    Thanks!
