    Leaking Tub
 We have a bathroom upstairs in our storey and a hal house. When we run water in the tub upstairs it leaks through the ceiling to our computer room on the main floor. What could the problem be?? We have replaced the shower insert and it does not help the matter.

The drain from the tub may have a leak. If your handles and other plumbing fixtures come out of a wall, there could also be gaps around them where water could go. Caulking gaps should help if there are gaps. If the drain is leaking, you may need to get to the drain pipe underneath the tub in order to tighten it, repair it or replace it.

I put a permanent access panel on the other side of the wall at the end of my tub where all of the plumbing is so that I could get to any of those pipes if there ever was a problem.

Get yourself a garbage can, put it next to your tub and fill it with water (just what you can lift with help. Pour all the water into your tub with the stopper in and check for leaks then pull the stopper and check for leaks now we will know if it's the tub, drain or maybe the feed lines leaking when turned on
