I have dark strawberry blonde hair and I had light blonde highlights in it and was getting bad roots. I tried to die my hair back to its natural color but the highlights turned this funky light grey purple color. I baught light brown dye to cover the greyish purple and now my hair is really dark brown with some red tones. Can I put a lighter blonde over this to lighten it? Will the blonde highlights be a problem? Ahhh!

In order to go from dark brown to strawberry blonde, you will need to lighten your hair and then apply the selected color. Anything other than that will result in a red/orange shade. You should go to a salon and have them do a corrective color, they'll try to match your natural hair color as close as possible.
