    Shower drain causing Toilet overflow
I am in the process of replacing the commode in my bathroom, the old commode is removed and that leaves the toilet hole exposed, for the time being. During this time, water in the shower is turned on. The shower is about 4 feet away from the toilet. About 15 minutes later, water starts seeping out of the exposed toilet hole. Is this causing by blockage in the pipe? Or it should be okay once the new commode is installed and toilet is sealed - Thanks

    Hey Andy,

You have a partial blockage in the drain line. Rent a sewer machine and snake through the open closet bend. Don't count on the clog to disappear once you reset the toilet cause it ain't going to happen. Put out a goodly amount of snake . It sounds like the clog is quite a ways down the line. Good luck, Tom
