Tell him to pay his fines and do what's required of him to get a driver's license. It ain't that hard. If a driver's license is his only problem, he is doing well.Quote:

In the small city in south Ga, there were a lot that worked in the timber industry cutting trees, and working in plants that make fense posts.
Also here in my current city there are saw mills and some factory jobs.
Also many housing contractors.
Now most hire them because they can pay them less, don't offer benefits and will threaten to turn them over to their parole officers if they don't do what they are told.
Parts of the issues is currently jobs are getting a little harder to find, and as they are, if you compete against someone who has never been arrested, most likely that person gets the job.
There are other ways to get to work - walk. Ride a bike, use public transportation, or car pool with someone (offer some money each week to chip in for gas). I know many people who do neither have a driver's license nor own a car. They get to work.
