    Railing Installation on Concrete Slab
    Hello Everyone,

I have torn out the shoddy walls of our sundeck in lieu of creating an open air patio. The floor is concrete. I would like to install railing but am unsure how best to secure the posts to the flooring. Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Regards,
    Michael

Many box stores sell railing kits for your applicarion. In many cases you get a 4x4 box that is bolted into the concrete. You must drill 4 holes into the concrete with a hammer drill. Once secured the 4x4 post or end slips down inside the box and is screwed in tight.

If Your Using 4x4 Post Then What's Listed Above Will Work The Best, Just Make Sure Your Using Some Good Anchors, 1/2 If Possible. And Also Watch Drilling Really Close The Edge Of The Concrete Or If You Have Brick Just Watch The Ones That May Have To Go Into The Mortar Joints, They Can Bust The Brick Off.
