Red hair + Dirty Blond = Anyone have a guess?
I have Red hair. So does my mom, and her mom. My dad has brown. Two kids in my family ended up with red hair, two ended up with blond. My wife has dirty blond, as does her mother and her father. The kids in her family ended up with 2 blond, 1 dark. SO... with that background, would anyone like to give their biological ratios to what the odds will be for my future kids? I'm just curious, thanks for any response!

It's really very hard to tell, hair colors aren't quite as cut-and-dry as eye colors. Also we have your own subjectivity coming into the mix, dirty blonde might actually be a light brown, so it's hard to tell whether she has the blonde or dark gene. The red hair just complicated matters further.

Hair color is also very environmental.

As I see you are aware, odds are the only thing that can be given, I don't have enough knowledge to help you get those odds. The scientific base is not well established yet.

I'm just wondering, what possible use would this information be to you?
