What movie is this? Based in Africa.
I watched this movie about 2 months ago on cinemax (I think). It was old, not black and white though, probably 60's or 70's. The title was long. It had the main persons name in it and naked in Africa (I think). The star also wrote and directed it (I think). Ok so in the movie he and his companions are captured by a barbaric tribe in Africa and they kill them off in nasty ways. Tied up and allowed to have a cobra bit them in the face, basted and then cooked over a fire. The main character was told to run and then one gave chase to kill him. He killed his pursuer and another went after him and he killed him too. After this the basics of the movie were him trying to survive in the harsh African wild while these tribes people send increasing numbers of people to come kill him. At this point in the movie there's no English spoken. One stand out point in the movie is when he uses his bow and arrow and ties dried brush around the arrows and lights it on fire and shoots them to start a larger fire to cover his escape. At another point he befriends a small boy whose village was slaughtered by another tribe (who had guns, the natives chasing the main character use spears, bow and arrows, and machetes). He finally makes it to a mission outpost and the guards come out and scare off the natives right on his tail. That's the end. I thought this movie was interesting although I'm sure most people wouldn't. It's probably pretty obscure too. If someone could tell me what it is I would be great full. Thanks.
