My fan motor comes on for about five minutes and then shuts off.Fan motor is hot and compressor is still running.

Has anything been done to the AC in the way of Repairs in the last day or two?
If not there are several things that can happen to make the motor run for a few minutes and then stop because it is too hot.
One is that the motor needs oiling, If the fan is hard to turn this might surely be the problem. If the motor is easy to turn then more that likely you have a bad motor and will need to be replaced.
