There is a jagged hole, about 2 inches in diameter in a piece of vinyl siding on the front of the house. It was the result of a rock being propelled by a lawnmower. Is there any way to patch the hole? There was no extra siding left behind by the previous owners. The house is approx 16 years old, so I'm sure the siding has faded since the house was built.

If there's piece loose, pull it free and take it to your local harware store. They should be able to recommend a repair ( there are patch kits available ) and they can match the color with their computer ( found this at Lowe's and Home Depot ) so you can paint over the patch. Note: you won't need that much to paint an area this small but they may not be able to mix much smaller than a quart...
