This movie contained midgets lots of them,a little boy was reading a book, and then was on top of a giant's head,and the giant was walking out of the ocean.Then the giant got tied up,and then loosed himself,and put the boy in a bird cage.somewhere in the movie the midgets were sitting at a dinner table and the midgets started saying the pearl is in the river,the pearl is in the river.please help me find the name of this movie.

Actually, the giant walking out of the ocean with the boat on his head for a hat is one of those weird imagery things that I can't get out of my head. Took me a few days to remember, but I think you are referring to Time Bandits. I remember the little boy but don't remember specifically if those other things happened that you remember. Haven't seen it in years. If this isn't the movie, definite worth a watch. Great cast and fun, weird movie.
