Last October I moved into a apartment in Marysville Ohio. The agent at the time (which has been fired) told me that if I rented the apartment and my income changed that I would be able to get out of my lease if the income was reported in the first 6 months. Two months after I moved in I accepted a job in another county. I now have to drive around 40 miles each way to work each day. I reported my income to the same apartment complex with a different agent and they refuse to let me out of my lease. The job that I accepted is extremely demanding and takes long hours. Is there anyway I can legally get out of this lease so I can move closer to work.

No. If the agent had written that part about your income into the lease, then absolutely. But, he didn't - and you didn't demand it. In real estate, what's WRITTEN is sacrosanct.

If you do break your lease, though, the landlord has to rent it as soon as possible to limit your losses. But, you will sustain losses if you leave.

Let me tack on to excons comment. "As soon as possible" isn't what it sounds. If your complex has many vacancies your old unit is not at the top of the list. Other units can/would be rented before yours so be prepared to pay several/many months of rent. Your income could drop to zero and it is not grounds to break a lease.
