    in my computer the cd icon donot display..
    I guess the driver isnot present...
    my hadware is of type lg rewritable52x32x52x... if you have this driver send kindly to me

    Maybe you hooked it up incorrectly, try to check if it's detected in the bios. And in windows explorer if you're using windows

    I'll go with carlo on this one. A CDRW should not require a driver for Windows to locate it make make it useable. It could be a cabling issue or a BIOS issue.

    That's what I get for answering when I'm that tired I only saw the question and answered it when I should have been thinking a little deeper. 'Twas a very early morning for me today.

    I had cabling problems that caused the same thing on my computer a few months ago... DUH!!
