    Scholarship on H4 Visa
Hi my wife is on H4 Visa and a full time student at a county college, can my wife apply for scholarship . This is college funding , fee will be waived or reduced, if granted the scholarship

Come folks says we can accept the scholarship and some say no. When asked in the college, they say H4 visa student can apply.

Your wife is not eligible to work in US since she is on a dependent visa. So if scholarship does not require her to work, she can accept it.

If your wife has been on H4 visa for over a year, she might be eligible to pay in-state tuition fee. Check what the state laws on qualification for in-state tuition are. TX has one year of stay as a requirement, NJ does not have provision for in-state tuition rates for immigrants on temporary visas (that includes H visa).
