I want to strip my hair and go platnum, but I'm scared
I'm one of hose people who really loves bright random colors set off with a dark brown. So far my hair has been blue, pink, red, and purple within the last three years. For a long time it was its natural color and back in march I randomly decided to dye it dark brown and purple. Depressingly the stylist didn't bleach under the purple so it faded into a dark brown with slightly lighter bown streaks (not so interesting and looks a lot like it was a mistake, but I'm not complaining because I can work with anything)

ANYWAY; I generally (when I dye my hair) wait at least three months before I go about dying my hair again, and the three months is running short and I'm due for a new coloring. I had a really awesome idea about going mostly platnum/white with a few really dark streaks, but I'm scarred because my hair is currently dyed a dark brown and my hair is naturally extremely fine and a medium reddish brown. I'm scarred that if I go to the platnum I'll fry my hair and it will all fall out, but I really want to do it.

any suggestions on how to get the dark brown to fade faster so lightening it wouldn't be as scary? Or ways to go extremely lighter and not go bald (in my situation)?

Going from dark brown to platinum blonde is hard on the hair. In order to go from dark to platinum blonde, you would have to bleach your hair to the lightest stage. Please do not attempt to do this process yourself. I recommend that you go to a salon and consult with a colorist or hairstylist if you want to go platinum blonde. Remember that some hairstylists will be hesitant about bleaching your hair pass the yellow stage because it may result in severe damage.
