My Kenmore ELITE H3 washer will re-fill with water on it's own. After the wash cycle has completed, I take the clothes out and place them in the dryer. If I do not use the machine again the machine will very very slowly start to fill with water.

Sounds like the water valve is letting water seep through you can take the hoses off the valve and kind of see if it is dirty up in the valve try taking it apart and cleaning it. If you need more help let me know I am a appliance tech.

Where is valve located? Is it where the hose connects to the back of the washer?

Yes just take the hoses off and try to take the valve off and apart and clean it
