    Wiring ceiling fan switch and light switch
    I had to replace the flywheel on my Hunter ceiling fan and I had to remove the light kit that was attached. After I installed the flywheel, I forgot to mark the wires for re-connection. This is an older model fan. There are five wires coming from the fan motor--brown, blue, white, black and black/stripe. There is a blue and black wire coming from the pull chain switch and a black wire and a white wire coming from the light. I connected the white to white and the black/stripe to the black from the light. I connected the solid black from the fan to the black wire from the switch. I connected the blue from the switch to the blue from the fan motor. I also connected the brown wire (ground I think) to the blue wire. The light comes on, but not the fan. Any suggestions on this wiring. Thanks!

    I love these old Hunters with the flywheels. If you ever no longer want it, let me know.

    Which model do you have, the 52" (larger) or the 36" (smaller)? I recall that the 36" has a capacitor in the switch housing, I dont believe the 52" does.

    The brown wire connects to the white wire along with the light. The blue wire connects to terminal 1 on the pullchain and also to the capacitor. Terminal 2 connects the other end of the capacitor. This is all from memory.
