Maytag Dryer has no more power!
I have a maytag performa PYE4500AYW dryer. It was working perfect, never had any problems. All of a sudden after a load of towels it won't turn on. No power at all. I check the breaker and even removed the back where the power cord is to make sure its still connected. I checked the wall outlet and there's no problem there either. I really can't afford a new dryer right now. What could it be?

Thermal fuse is blown. What else could be tripping it?

Since there is no power at the outlet, there is a problem with the circuit. Could be the breaker, or a broken splice or connection between the panel and the outlet. Could even be the connection in the panel that feeds the circuit breaker.Sounds like you need an electrician to find and repair the problem unless you have a voltage tester with leads and know how to troubleshoot a live panel.

Okay, I figured out the thermal fuse is blown. I about a new kit and it started up again. Then 5 seconds later it burned out. There's a burning smell near the coil. What else coud it be?
