I stumbled across some posts on "you tube" that made me weep. People are posting videos where they public renounce God and Jesus.:eek: Before I was a Christian I was a good sinner I did it all lie,some drugs , stole ,adultery. But never would I even think of denying Jesus I mean I didn't really believe in him or God just a fable right? But... what if he was real? I mean I have been wrong before so if I was to deny God and he was real I figured it would just wouldn't be a smart thing to do.

I would like to here some comments on this :confused:

It is a public domain, and like anywhere in the public domain you will get people who want to voice their opinion a little too loudly. But just remember that's all it is, their opinion. It doesn't mean it is your opinion and shouldn't effect what you think.

Im sure there would also be many Christians somewhere on You Tube who publicly renounce other Gods and religions too, which makes them equally as wrong as the people you talk of.

Just don't give them any satisfaction by viewing their video's. Simple as that!

Yes, I know what you mean. I wouldn't let it get me down though- those people are looking for attention, especially from their peers. Blasphemy of the H.S. is the unforgivable sin. I don't know any of those people personally- but the Lord wishes that all should come unto repentance and that none should perish. So, if I cared to (that is if it bothered me enough after seeing something like that) I would say a prayer that the truth these reject may be made real to them. But I have to mention that there are far too many good news people around who are a blessing to be grieved by the rebellious. Life's too short. I enjoy what I have giving thanks to God always, He alone gives all good things.

Wouldn't it be nice to see more people doing this?!

It seems that there are many in the younger set who in their quest for more attention will say or do anything. They seem to be of the opinion that negative attention is better than no attention. Then, too,there are those who profess Atheism and gage their antics to win the approval of their unenlightened peers by bashing and/or denouncing any religion and Christianity in particular. As someone else said when you run across these people Pray for them. If God deems them unworthy of the blessing you have asked for them he will turn that blessing back upon you and YOU will be blessed.

Aaah... the denial of god is terrible.
I have denied him many times in the past, when I was having crisis of faith, before I was baptised, but I always come back.

Unfortunately, even though I now believe, I have given up on trying to have a relationship with him, and quite church, and boy its hurting me so much.
Don't deny god, its not worth it, it's the wrong thing to do, god loves you, and wants to make you happy, so don't be weak like I am, try to reach him! Give him a shot, what are you going to lose from trying? Now, what are you going to lose if he is real, and you don't try? Think about this, and don't make the mistake I did.

I stopped going to church and I'm having a great life, same with my wife and kids. How would stop going to church hurt your life??

I don't think I understand this thread either. I believe that Jesus was a man who lived some time ago, I don't believe much more about him than that. Does that make me eternally damned?

It does not make you eternally dammed. The very first time you did something wrong, or even thought something wrong, and every time after that made you eternally dammed, because that is sin, and we are all sinners. But jesus has given us all a way to heaven, he has gone to hell as our proxy.

Actually worrying is a sin. The Bible says so.So, who worries?
There are only cares & concerns in life to attend to or not.
And we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ (2 Cor 10:5)
But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. (James 1:14-15)
So, the pathway towards separation from God can occur: Temptation> Sin> Death.
Good News:
1Cor.10:13- No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
Like looking at someone's spouse lustfully & giving into that temptation & act out on it is.
We are describing forgivable sins now-even for Christians- But the sin described by the original poster is the unforgivable sin. Something that is sad because the Bible tells us that tomorrow is promised to no one, and to die in the unforgivable sin - will condemn us.

The only sin is to follow as a sheep, when the Creator has given you free will. Anyone can mimick and repeat, and fall in line. Only those who have a personal relationship with the Creator can have no worries.

Even someone from a 3rd world country who calls on God prostrates themselves before Him. Here in this country, where Bibles are free there is no excuse for not reading it. All the righteous & blessed people of the Bible had reverence for God, our Creator, so your teaching is erroneous beginning at the most basic level. I don't believe that your way is the way to know God.

Isaiah 2:12, The Lord Almighty has a day in store for all the proud and lofty, for all that is exalted (and they will be humbled)

I'll side with Tal on this one. I believe there are many ways to know God and his is as good as yours. What you won't see Tal do is belittle you for not being like him.

If you need a book to help you get connected to the Creator, that's fine as, the point is to be connected. In my life I have taken a more direct approach and give thanks to the guidance I receive through a very personal relationship with a God that I understand. I teach nothing, and don't expect any one to follow, I'm doing the best I can trying to hold up my end of things. Nice quotes. I don't need them to respect the Creator. I have already been shown the way that works for me. Hope you have your own path that is as clear. If not let me know and I will help.

I can respect your choices of what you do with your free will. However, your last sentence demonstrates to me that you still think you are a teacher. Thank you but no thanks- I don't need any help from you as I disagree with you-as I stated.
