    Is there somewhere to go on a government website to track an amendment I mailed in for my 2005 tax year?

    Hi my name is Kwamena I filed my tax amendment in May and I was wondering how long it will take to receive my refund and will I get any notification stating my amendment has been sent, Or some kind of contact in my email. Thank you very much.

    I would wait untl early August before contacting the IRS. The normal wait is at least two months, but I know the IRS has a large backlog of amendments, so the processing time IS taking longer.
