Exporting my Calender from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2000
I'm hoping someone can help me :)

I've been wanting to export my outlook 2003 calender to my outlook 2000. I have researched some topics and found this...

Create a new personal folder Outlook 2000 compatible PST file by clicking:
    File
    New
    Outlook Data File
Create an Outlook 97 - 2002 Personal Folders File
Once the new .pst has been created, copy all your 2003 folders into the 2000 compatible .pst file.

When I tried to then copy it over to my outlook 2000 on my laptop, I get this message
"Properties for this information service must be defined prior to use" Followed by another message reminding me that of the incompatibility.

I did read some research that stated I needed to change the folder/file permissions. However I did not know where to find this information.

    Any advice would be grateful

Why not just upgrade the laptop?

    Ms Gerbera
I've rarely used the laptop in the 5 years I've had it (maybe 1/2 dozen times)
I bought it to use as a word processor for when I go away (I write poetry).

Recently I started night classes and have started getting away more on weekends. I take my laptop to practice my class lessons while I'm away. I thought it would be useful to have my calender on the laptop at the same time.

The Laptop is a slow old Dinosaur and will struggle more than it is now with XP & Office 2003. I spoke with a work colleague and they stated I would need to get it reformatted at the cost of around $200. I'm unsure if it can have more RAM installed? It all just seemed easy if I could copy over the files. But I may have to consider upgrading it, if I continue with night classes.

    CHEERS Ms Gerbera
