Does methadone and vicodin show up as the same chemical in a urinalysis?
I have heard of doctors prescribing both for pain, so yes, I believe they will show up as the same in urinalysis.
Could, but methadone is synthetic opiates and Vicodin is not. But there are test that will find both.

Typically, depending on what panel drug screen is being used, they will both show up as opiates. It is hard to tell exactly which substance is being used, so they search for the main ingredient, opiates.
I have a friend who is a "pain doctor". He prescribes a lot of opiates as well as methadone once in a while. He demands urine tests and pill counts and he does this randomly. He has exposed people who should be taking opiates but there was methadone in there urine.
I don't know what method of urine testing he is using but both drugs show up.
