Tankyou both for your response to my posting... You are both obviously from the states and I am from the uk... Does the law differ a lot in the two separate countries?. What is the likelihood of me being prosecuted for this?. I am so worried and this is 11 weeks after the event... As I said before every time there is a knock at the door or I hear the a car pull up outside I feel so ill... How long would it be before I was to be arrested for this and prosecuted.. Please help I am in a right mess with myself over this!!

It has been 11 weeks after you presented yourself fraudently and nothing has happened yet. But you are suffering a punishment by getting so upset and being scared of the police knocking at your door. No sympathy here for that. And no help either. If you clearly want to straighten this up - admit what you did to the authorities and take whatever is meted out to you. I think medical fraud such as you commimtted is not likely to be much different from the US or the UK.
