After meeting a girl for the first time, how long to wait to call

If she gave you her number, I think you should call her the next day and just ask if she would like to do something, go for coffee etc.

I never understood the whole waiting thing. If you swap numbers and you like someone just pick up the phone.

Just call her when you feel like it.

If you met her one morning and she gave you her number, why not call her the same night?
If you asked for the number, call her the day after.

But seriously, there's NO rule to this and there shouldn't be one anyway.

Don't call her right away or else you'll seem desperate

It depends... how you no her friends?
If friends id make sure you were close friends before it... u have obviously waited a long time so don't be afraid to wait a little more. Don't blow it by creating aquard moment. Become her friend.

I'd at least wait until the next day (during normal hours) - make a casual arrangement to get together.
