    Wedding invitation wording
I am getting married this fall and am at a loss for how to word our invitaitons. My father was a widower but has since remarried. He is paying for one third of our wedding and I am paying for the other two thirds. How do I properly and tactfully word this?

    Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

    I would use the following:

    Miss Susie Anne Smith
    And
    Mr. John David Brown
Along with (or together with) Susie's father
    Mr. Allan James Smith
Request the honor of your presence
    To share in the celebration
    Of their marriage...

    etc. etc.

    OR

    Miss Susie Anne Smith
    And
    Mr. John David Brown
    Together with
Mr. and Mrs. Allan James Smith
    etc. etc...

The place where you order your invitations should have other potential wordings for the invitations as well. Personally, I like the second one.

Best of luck and love to you...

    Didi
