Did they do something wrong?
I have a 2006 Impala. The check engine light went on for some days. I called the OnStar service and they said it might be the gas-cap was not tied up. It should be gone after I re-tied it up and restarted the car for 7 times. I did it but it stayed there. So I went to the dealer, one guy just re-tied up the gas cap and told me to go home and call back to them after 2~3 days if the light still on. I went back to them, because the light is still on. They did not have the car checked up, but simply had a technician to erase the error code with a autoscanner. I noticed the error code was P0445.
Did they do everything correct? Per my understanding, they should at least have somebody to check it up. Are they somewhat too irresponsible?
