I recently purchased a Whirlpool clothes washer and have been using it fine. However, after a few loads, the ability for the washer to close the drain for the water to come out is not shutting anymore. Thus, I cannot wash clothes since the water that's going into the washer is always draining. How do I fix it so that the water drain in the washer will close again?

Make sure that the end of the drain hose is higher than the water in the washing machine, also where it goes into the drain make sure that it just slips into the pipe, do not make it a tight connection, it has to get air where it goes into the drain so that it will break the syphon.
