    Dog feeding equipment
Should I be washing the dogs bowls, plates, and forks separate to mine? With a separate pair of washing up rubber gloves and a separate wash cloth because of a danger I or my young son could get sick from germs on her bowls etc, or is it OK? What do you do about this?

I feed and water my dogs in stainless steel bowls. The dry food doesn't leave any residue, so I never wash the bowls. If I was going to mix the dogs' dishes in with ours, I thing I would use good washing techniques, sterilizing the dishes with at least 170 degree F water or a bleach solution. If you are feeding canned food, any residue not removed quickly could breed germs and need sterilized. It might be more of a danger than anything the dog carried. There aren't that many things we can pass to each other.
