    Nissan Nightmare
I have a 95 nissan pickup, 5 speed, 4 cyl. Won't idle, sputters from 2000 rpm's down, as long as it is in gear with your foot on the gas, it runs OK. As soon as you take it out of gear and let your foot off the gas, rpm's drop down to about 100 it sputters for a sec and then dies. Or sometimes, after you take your foot off the gas, it might go down to about 800 and then revs right back up to about 2500 but that will only last for about 15 seconds. I have been told that it's the hotwire module or mass air regulator on the side of the throttle body. I bought a used motor and swapped the two, took the positive side battery terminal off for about 60 secs, put it back on and No change whatsoever. ANYONE, HELP!!

IGNITER? Do you mean the ignition control module?
Texasgreasemonkey, I posted the NISSAN NIGHTMARE, you answered with, "replace the igniter". I looked for the part on a website and I found an ignition control module, is that it? BTW, thanks for your help!

The ignition control module didn't work. Any other suggestions? Anyone?
