The other day my husband went to change the shower head and taps in our basement bathroom. Before he did this he shut off the water flow to the sink in that bathroom... which didn't matter anyway because the shower still ran, only the sink wouldn't... but anyway... when he turned the taps under the sink back on so the water would run again nothing happened. We've turned them back and forth and back and forth and it's still not running... what happened? :confused: and the toilet and shower still work perfectly fine

What kind of valves did you turn? Take the supply lines off right after the valve and then turn the water on. If it runs then there is some sediment blocking up your faucet.

Your Hubby disturbed some minerals built up in the supply lines and it is now blocking the inlet ports of the cartridge if a one handled faucet or the seats if a two knob one. Shut the water off to the lavatory and open up the faucet. Check the inlets for blockage and remove. Now place a pan over the open valve and turn the water back on to flush out the supplies. You should have a full stream before reassembling. BUT BEFORE DOING ANYTHING remove the aerator from the spout and check the screens. You just might not have to do anything more then that.
