What can I do to make my hair color FADE quickly?
Hello everyone, I am new to this forum. I have been dyeing my hair black for two and a half years now and have recently grown tired of it. My hair is quite long, it reaches halfway down my back. I have tried in the past to just not dye my hair and let the color fade. But my natural hair color is light brown and I would just give up after four months and dye it black again. I want to dye it a different color but I don't want to bleach my hair. It's only been about a month now since the last time I dyed my hair. Does anyone have any suggestions that would make the color fade quickly? Thanks!

I'm sorry to say, black color will not fade from your hair entirely. You must suck it up and go to a salon ( a good one!). They will strip your color and put in the desired tone. Hair chemical products have come a long way and if done properly, you will not have a lot of damage. Trust me on this one... save yourself distress and go to the salon! Good luck : )

I have leached color from tinted hair by adding hydrogen peroxide to clear shampoo like baby or golden honey shampoo. Mix about 4 parts shampoo to one part hydrogen peroxide, make suds with shampoo mixture and water, leave on twenty or thirty minutes. Massage into hair several times and even add blow dryer heat just don't let it dry all the way. Rinse this out with warm water. Repeat about five times. Yes, it takes a few hours but bit by bit the color lifts if you have just recently dyed your hair.
