Cant Remember name of sad movie
There was this really sad movie I watched once, and I can't remember the name.
The movie was about after a nuclear war, and set in australia, and the radiation was slowly movie south with the wind, until only australia remained, being one of the southmost countries.
The people were given a false hope, when a radio transmission saying "at least the whales survived" so they sent a submarine north. The crew came to america or something, to find that the message was from an old news report, being constantly retransmitted accidentally by a solar powered computer or something. So they returned to australia, and the people moved constantly south, with scenes showing a man driving himself and his family of a cliff to die, one guy speeding round a track so he can die enjoying himself in a fast car.
It ends with the family in southernmost australia, a man, his wife, and their daughter, taking suicide pills together, and a young couple, ending their lives with pills in champagne on the beach, to escape horrible death from the radiation.
It was a really sad movie, I can't remember the title, it might have had "beach" in the title.
Id really appreciate if sumone told me the title, I want to watch it again.
