Hi Everyone,

I'm pretty sad because I can't seem to get pregnant, it's been 3 months trying to conceive and still no baby. I have uprotected sex with my boyfriend every time were together. He comes inside me and we have intercourse with in my fertile window... a few days later I get my period. Can anyone explain this too me, what's going on?? Is it me or him or should I wait a few more months. Or shoud I just let it be until God says it's time. I know it might be to early to say I can't have kids... but I'm just scared that I might not be able to. Oh yeah, I was on because for only 1 month in Feb 07, then I stopped taking them because I would just forget to take ithem, and it would make me feel weird side effects. I don't think because stays in your system this long, because my Dr said usually most women are back to normal after you stop taking them. But then again everyone is different!!

Please help me out! I would love to hear any feedback and your opinions.

There are many things that could be going on. Issues of ovulation, missing the ovulation dates. I will give you some information from my own database knowledge. First I want to tell you that doctors recommend trying for one year, before they consider it to be a problem. There are things that can be done, to help this to happen if there is nothing medically wrong. Please use Google to research the products Im suggesting. You can first try a basal thermometer. Its very simple to use, directions are included. You also could search online for a ovulation predictor calender ( these usually only work if you have regular 28 day periods or so, meaning you have a regular monthly period, around the same time each month. You could also ask a doctor for clomid medication this will help you to become pregnant, but does have some risk of possible twins. Hope this helps. And happy soon to be Mom !

Well, maybe you can tell me if maybe this month I might become pregnant. I checked my ovulation calendar, and it says I'm fertile May 8-May 10 and May 11 ovulation. I had unprotected sex May 4, May 6, May 7. Do you think I would need to have sex again this week before ovulation so I can come out pregnant. I was reading an article on sperm, and that in every ejaculation there are 200-500 millions sperm. Do you think I would have enough sperm in my system to get pregnant.

Do you think I might have a chance of coming out pregnant this month? It's so exciting for me to talk about a future pregnancy... But then again I don't to get to happy because then I end up w/ a broken heart because once again I get my period. Hopefully I can become pregnant soon. I'm just so anxious to have a little boy or girl running around the house.

Yeah, that's what I've heard if you have doggy style sex and lay on your back for about 20 you could have a pretty good chances of conceiving. I did try it these past few times but will see if I passed or failed the test at the end of this month. My period is due May 25.

Thanks Miss Advice, I do hope I am... but I'm going through that excited phase now. But I'll just pray and hope that I am and if not I'll just have to keep trying.

I've read in some websites that if you have intercourse closer to ovulation you would conceive a boy... is this true or just something they came up with.

Do you think it's a good idea to be taking prenatal vitamins along with folic acid even though I'm not pregnant yet. I chose to take prenatal vitamins because I'm planning to have a baby. I just want to be prepared, and also to have a healthy baby either it being a girl or boy or both. Who knows because twins run in my boyfriend family and my family as well.

I think that you should consider reading some of the research online, and see what others are saying, and consider any risk associated with folic acid. Just take one day at a time. You also can try affirmations. Meaning post a picture of baby on your computer and keep looking at it, I did this when I wanted a new truck. I got it too... lololol:)

Hi there

I am almost 9 weeks pregnant now, after 7 months of trying.

I was very lucky as my mom gave me a gift she bought off eBay, it was pregnancy tests and ovulation tests

With these I found out easily when I ovulated without the difficulty of temp charts etc

I did think that I was going to have a period as I had all the symptoms I usually have but I continued to be late and after 7days I finally did my test

I'm guessing you were taking the pill then, since you would forget to take them? Forgetting to take them on time can throw your cycles off a bit. Also it is suggested you allow 3 months after you are off the pill before you expect to get pregnant, in order for it to allow enough time to get out of your system. Also, 3 months of trying to conceive is not long at all. It takes most healthy couples up to 12 months trying to conceive naturally, before it is suggested that they seek medical intervention to help with their fertility. So don't worry yet. Get a pre-conception check up just to make sure that you are in good health and physically ready to get pregnant. Have your guy get a physical as well, just to make sure you are both healthy to start. Start taking prenatals if you aren't already. Then just relax and enjoy the ride.

If you aren't pregnant yet, my best advise is eat right, work out, try and stay happy, healthy, and relaxed as much as possible. And I know this might osund weird, but after your partner "finishes" in you, lift your pelvis and legs as high as you can (try sitting upside down on the sofa with your head hanging over the end) for about 15-20 minutes after every time, it helps the sperm swim! And if after a year nothing has happened, see a DR.

Patience is the key here, If you do not have it then you will not get pregnant.

Some people normal healthy couples. About 85 percent of them it takes a good year to become pregnant. Some couples up to 2 years.

So Patience, relaxation and being stress free is very important if you truly want to have children.
