    What could have happened?
Me and my girlfriend had broken up because she wasn't ready for a serious commitment. We had been seeing each other at least twice a week recently and everything was cool. We talked on the phone a bunch. We spen the morning together yesterday and we had lunch together. Everything was cool and I left for business. I came back and apparently the people she worked with had put something's into her head. She told me not to do any more nice things for her. I was blow away. She then called me in the morning to see if I was OK. I answered and said I was fine. I tried to call her later and she wouldn't answer and then texted me to cancel a date we had set up for Friday. What did I do?? The last time I talked to her today she said everything was fine. I swear I didn't do anything!

Well it's hard to say from what you write here. There's not a lot of info but if she wants a break then give it to her. Don't call her anymore and if she calls you ignore it. Without knowing anymore than what you wrote I might say this a some stupid game she's playing but it's hard to say. But if she is so insecure that the people at work tell her not to date you and she listens then she's not worth your time anyway. If she can't make up her own mind about who she can date she can't pick out her own clothes in the morning.

Go work on yourself, if she wants space give it to her and let her do the chasing!

I've been on both ends of this kind of situation--and to be completely honest with you--she's totally playing games with you. She keeps up the contact with you basically, to reassure herself that she COULD still have you IF and WHEN she wanted to. You sound like an extremely caring, loyal, and concerned guy--while you're worried wondering about her--who's wondering about you? You deserve to have someone care about you as much as you care about them--I mean, it only seems right, right?

Yeah total games. Seem to me she doesn't know what she wants. Maybe your not the only one in this game? You would know better than me, but she's indecisive for any number of reasons, none of which are you to blame. Screw the games and play them harder... move on

She told me recently about her ex that she moved 1500 miles away from home with. I think that this relationship may be playing a part in her indecisiveness. This was the guy she was with before me. She told me that she felt like she screwed him over because they moved together and now he is still down here and they aren't together, basiclly leaving him to fend for himself. She also said he "dropped the ball" what ever that means. She asked me a while back if I cared about her and I told her yes. So, why if she doesn't want to be with me, does she continue to ask me to do things for her, hug and flirt with me. She even told me she wanted to have sex with me again and that she wanted to go on a business trip to Costa Rica with me. I have tried to keep this a friend type thing for the last couple of weeks. I am not pushing her but I am in love with her. Now I think I will just stop all contact and see what she does. This is why I never drop my guard!
