    Blue/Black Hair
Under the advise of my friends, I dyed my hair blue/black using Live Colour. I've always dyed my hair dark brown so thought it's make a nice change but it just makes me look pale and goth like! How can I make it fade as fast as possible? The hairdresser suggested using Head & Shoulders or washing up liquid on it, to make it fade faster. I have also seen information online about Loreal Colour Zap, does this work? Does it really damage your hair and is it advisable to do yourself? I CANNOT deal with light brown roots, I will have to stay indoors!

    Thanks.

I took about a dozen bleachings to get the black out of my hair.

[edit] - What's wrong with Pale and Goth? Goth chicks are sexy.

If you used a permanent, it will not wash out, however, the color will gradually fade over time. When you use a hair color remover, such as Color Zap or Colorfix, it will make your hair a brassy orange or yellowish color. You should try to fade the color with Head & Shoulders or a clarifying shampoo. You can also you dish detergent to help fade your hair, but make sure that you use a conditioner afterwards. But if you can't wait for the color to fade, visit a hair salon. They will lighten your hair, then deposit a hair color that's closet to your natural color.
