A couple of basement bathroom questions:

1. Can ABS pipe be used for the DWV system and can it be buried under the slab. The major home centers in Canada do not seem to sell the PVC (white coloured) pipe just the ABS?

2. When I rough in my new shower drain do I need to install a 14" X 14" dap out as you would with a tub or just place the drain where it needs to be in the cement slab and then fill in the voids with new concrete?

3. When you say "wet venting" (for the shower) do you mean in between the main plumbing stack and the lavatory or before the lav?

Yes, ABS may be used for drainage both above and below the slab.

A tub dap-out is only used for setting bathtubs. We place the shower trap under the slab and bring the raiser up where we wish the shower drain to set and then complete the pour.

I mean the shower connects to the lavatory drain line after the lavatory and before the next connection where it will be wet vented by the lavatorys vent.
Most bathroom groups are roughed in like this.
Toilet connects to sewer main or the stack vent. Lavatory connects to toilet drain and runs a vent off the top the stubout tee out the roof or revents back into a dry vent in the attic.. The toilet wet vents through the lavatory vent and the tub/shower connects to the lavatory drain and is wet vented by it. This is a normal rough in and is acceptable both by local and state codes and also The Standard Plumbing Code Book in 90 percent of the country. Check your local codes.to make sure you're not in the excluded 10 percent..

Both of your questions were answered in my last post. Let me post them again.

Yes, ABS may be used for drainage both above and below the slab.
