Well certainly not with a best friend who propositions you like that. Why would he say that to you? Doesn't seem like much of a best friend. Sounds like more a pervert who is only interested in sleeping with you.

You will know when the time is right and in my opinion it will hopefully be when you have met someone that you have deep feelings for. There is no set age, time or situation that is the 'right time' to have sex. It is up to you and only when you are ready.

Intimacy is a very personal thing... It should only be done if you are really comfortable with the idea. This is a "gift" you are sharing with someone. It should be with someone you care/love a great deal. Choose with both your heart and head. And be safe.

When it's the right time? When you find someone who doesn't have sex as the first thing on their mind. And yeah, its not hard to tell. Never let someone pressure you into this. If YOU are not ready, then don't do it. Its your body, not theirs. When YOU are ready YOU will know. Your first time should be on YOUR schedue, not his because that will be something you never forget. Ever when you no longer remember his name years from now.

Dose it matter if you know him for like two years? He is all I think about. And when I finally forget he shows up at my work. He dosen't pressure me any more not to have sex. He knows they say virgins like an upopen gift everyone wants to know what's inside. I planned on waiting till I get married to have sex. But guys are not very honest especially I am attracted to bad boys.

"How do you know when it is the right time to have sex?"

You will know. Avoid being pushed into anything you are not ready for. You are the boss of your life - you decide.

When you have developed a relationship over time. Becoming best friends. Confiding in one another. Spending time together and getting to know each other. If a person truly loves you they will not pressure you or even ask for sex. If they do, you know it is not about love and that your not ready to have sex, just for the heck of it. It is something that should be treasured and something that comes with ease and no pressure. If you want to wait for marriage, then wait for marriage. It is all your choice and your own decision. If your partner or anybody else truly wants to be with you and loves you, they will support you and make other parts of the relationship stronger before anything like that happens.

I am interested in this answer too, I suffer from extreme shyness and made it into my mid-30s while still being a virgin. I wonder if a woman can be understanding about that?

I would say if you have to write on a forum to ask when the right time is, you are not ready...

They do, and some like it in fact. Trust me I was real shy when I was younger.. that however isn't what stopped me as I dated women that liked that in me. I've gone from quite shy to quite extroverted in the years since thanks to my work. Basically you got over your shyness or you didn't make it in this field of work.

If by some off chance someone actually finds this time clock of "when" Please keep me in mind. I really want to see what it looks like, and who made it.
