A friend of mine owes me some money for the work that was done by me. I've tried numourous times by calling them but they don't respond. Is there any way as an individual I can freeze their bank account.

You will have to sue them in court, then you get a judgement, once you get a judgement depending on the rules of your state, you may be able to garnish wages or attach bank acocunts. So depending on the amount you may use small claims court or regular civil court

I had an account 2002 it was written off by the credit card company. A collection company reopened it in 2007 and is taking me to court for the payment and court cost. Can they freeze my bank account that I get derect deposit for early retirement and disability/
