What Birth Control is Right For Me?
I just got on birth control this month for the first time. My gyno told me to wait till the Sunday after/during my period to take it. I did as told, and all went well. About a week after taking it I started getting a light brown discharge... then it got darker and thicker... then turned to my period again about 3 weeks of taking it. I shouldn't be starting my period for about another week or so, and I already have it again, very heavy. Im really concerned if I should switch to another type of birth control, or wait it out a few months and see if things start to straightin out.

Please only serious answers, I need your help.

Hey! I have taken birth control before, and I am about to start a different kind. What's happening to you sounds like breakthrough bleeding, which can be a side effect of the pill. I have never had a problem with that, but my doctor told me to take it at the same time every day. She said that taking it at the same time every day helps prevent that. Which pill are you taking? I hope this helps!
