Computer won't send picture to moniter
    Hey guys

I just bought this computer of eBay.. I know wrong choice I guess..

Anyway I tried hooking it up the computer turned on but no picture to the moniter.. Maybe video card, put another one in but nothing, tried taking out ram and putting back in but nothing. Then I found out that the cd drive doesn't work, so mabye the power supply?? Any suggestions? It is a Dell Optiplex GX240 and its showing an amber light on the power button?

An amber light on the power button is probably some error code. Search Dell's support site for this model and see if there is an explanation.

Try using a PCI video card and see if it works, I assume your video is the newer AGP. The issue can be the AGP slot has a problem so no video will show and putting another one in the same slot will not fix issue. If the video still does not show up after using PCI then the board is fried from a power hit.
