    Trying for 8 months
Hi, Well I'm new on this site and would just like to ask a question. Me and my partner have been trying to get pregnant for 8 months now, I have bought the ovulation sticks for the past 5 months and still nothing. I've even sat with my legs in the air for 20 minutes at a time after sex! Every month I am so disappointed that I have come on my period - any advise?? :(

If you are still not pregnant after a year of trying, you should go in for a fertility evaluation. There are so many things that can cause reduced fertility or infertility, and over 6 million couples experience it every year.

A sperm analysis is the easiest and least expensive test, and can rule out or verify male factor. Most people start with that.

    Best of luck!

I would first like to say that I am so sorry and I know how heart breaking it can be getting that negative test each month. It took my partner and a few years to become pregnant. I almost resented mothers that were able to get pregnant so easily. I looked up just about every thing about becoming pregnant from ovulation charts to fertility disorders and treatment. Nothing worked for 2 years and I was going crazy wanting a baby. When I finally did become pregnant it was during a unusual month when my partner and I only had sex once (on a non ovulation day) and I sat up and walked around afterward. To this day I fail to understand how it happened. I would talk to your Dr. about this he/she can run some quick test to let you know if there is a problem. I just wanted to give you some hope. Just because it has not happened yet does not mean you have a problem or you have fertility problems( I was sure something was wrong with me), I have faith that you and you partner will become parents sooner then you think.
