    Bad dye job
I am a natural brunette and have been adding blonde highlights to my hair for a couple of months. It became too expensive at the salon so I decided to dye my hair back to my natural color (or as close as I could get) and let my roots grown in. Unfortunately for some reason light golden brown became deep red. I am mortified and I have read a few posts about prell shampoo but is it okay to use on hair that has already had dye in it before the bad dye job? Please help!

Remember that dark hair contains red pigment in it, and if you apply a permanent color on dark hair, it will result in a red or orange shade. Prell won't remove the unwanted color, it will slightly fade your hair. If you want a light golden brown shade, minus the red tones, you would have to pre-lighten your hair and then apply the desire.
