    Trying to conceive # 2
Hi there! This is the first time I have ever asked a question on a site before. I was hoping to find the answers through reading others. My DH and I have been Trying to conceive #2 for 11 months. We have a DH who is 2 years old and it took us 4 months to conceive her. I have been using the OPK's and for several months have not noticed the LH surge. I recently bought the Clearblueeasy fertility monitor and again is has not noted a LH surge. But it does say I am "high fertility" and not "low fertility" I had EW cervical mucous on day #13 and #14. I usually have very little except right around ovulation. I am on cycle day #16. I have very regular cycles every 29 days. I had a faint positive EPT last month, but 4 days later negative and AF came. My DH is 34 years old & I am 31 years old and relatively healthy. I do have hypothyroidism and am on Levoxyl. I also have severe asthma which is well controlled. My question: Is it possible to ovulate and not have an LH surge? Should I be concerned about possible progesterone deficiency? I saw my Gyno in January and she said come back in the summer if no results. I am also wondering what information I should have for her? Thank you in advance for any advice.

    buggage
Every pregnancy is different. Trying to conceive your second can be very frustrating, when it takes so much longer then it did with your first. With my first I got pregnant immediately. With our second, it took us a year. Its such a sensitive thing, and the timing and environment/circumstances have to be just right. It could just be that you are trying to hard, and the stress is keeping it from happening. Or it could be other things. The hypothyroidism and medicine could definitely be playing large roles in this, however, your doctor is the best person to ask for advice in that area. I would say that enough time has passed to definitely go back and talk to your doctor. Actually, any time you have concerns over things to do with your health, never hesitate to see your doctor. But I would definitely suggest going back to see your gyno asap. Tell them everything you have told/asked us here. All the info on your testing, etc, how long it has taken, your concerns on what could be going on, what you can do to improve the chances, etc. anything that is causing you concern, or you are unsure of. Good luck to you.
